Why a native desktop wallet matters.

Browser-based wallets share their runtime with every other tab in your browser. A malicious script in any tab — even one you don't notice — can attempt to read sensitive memory or intercept signing flows. This isn't theoretical; the 2023 Algorand wallet incident that prompted significant ecosystem migration was a JavaScript-injection attack on a web wallet. MyAlgo's native architecture removes that attack surface. The application runs as a standalone process. Keys are generated and stored locally — never in browser memory, never on a server. For users moving from older Algorand wallets, the how to migrate from MyAlgo guide walks through recovery, rekey safety, and account import. For the full technical overview, read the security architecture.
