What we do
MyAlgo Wallet builds a native desktop wallet for Algorand. That's it. We don't operate an exchange, don't issue a token, don't run a DeFi protocol, and don't sell your data. The desktop application is the entire product.
The wallet is free to use. There is no subscription tier, no premium features, no hidden costs. The model is straightforward: we build software for self-custodial Algorand storage and operations, and we believe a native desktop application with locally stored keys is the strongest profile for serious Algorand holders.
Who we are
MyAlgo Wallet is operated by MyAlgo Wallet Labs INC, a Delaware, United States-based entity. The entity acquired the MyAlgo brand and trademark rights in 2024 from the previous operator (Rand Labs) through a documented rights transfer. The current team is unrelated to Rand Labs — no shared personnel, no shared infrastructure, no continuity beyond the brand. Mission
Algorand has a real desktop-wallet gap. Pera is mobile-primary and runs a web wallet in browsers. Defly is mobile-only with a DeFi focus. Lute is a browser extension. Multi-chain wallets like Exodus and Trust Wallet treat Algorand as one of dozens of chains rather than as a primary focus.
We exist to fill that gap with a wallet that takes Algorand seriously as a desktop-native experience. That means full ASA support, robust staking integration, Ledger hardware wallet pairing, and a native security architecture that doesn't share runtime with browser tabs.
What we don't do
- No exchange.
- No token.
- No custody — we don't hold user funds.
- No DeFi protocol.
- No data collection beyond what Algorand RPC requires.
How we operate
- Self-custodial only. We don't hold user funds. We can't reset passwords or recover wallets without your seed phrase. This is a property of self-custody, not a customer-service deficit.
- Disclosure policy. Security incidents are disclosed within 72 hours of confirmed impact, with post-mortems within 30 days of resolution. See the security architecture page for the full policy.
- No data collection. The wallet doesn't phone home with user behavior data. Network requests are limited to Algorand RPC endpoints required for blockchain interaction.
